Commercial Scalability

A rotating selection of best-selling t-shirts designed and sold through national retailers like Spencer's Gifts and Hot Topic. All designs were developed on custom RareCandy tee blanks built for a boxy, flattering silhouette and premium handfeel.


Scope: Developed in-house to ensure fit consistency and quality across retail and direct-to-consumer channels. Designed for durability and comfort with a broken-in wash that enhances both print and wear.

Balancing creative expression with commercial scalability taught me that print technique, production timing, and fit loyalty are inseparable. The custom blank made it possible to keep the RareCandy silhouette consistent across retailers while still pushing new ideas each drop.

Key Learnings

  • Designing for 240GSM cotton requires specific ink weights to maintain handfeel.
  • Retail wholesale timelines require 6-month lead times compared to DTC drops.
  • Brand recognition increases significantly when the physical blank matches the visual language.
